Angola Mourns The Death of Four High School Seniors
Bill Stockberger said “I know all 4 young men. Our community has lost some outstanding and involved young people.”
The families have started the Fourever Friends 2011 Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Steuben Foundation. Memorials are also being collected. There has been an outpouring from all over the country, you can donate online at this website www.steubenfoundation.org or simply mail a check to: 1701 N Wayne Street, Angola, IN 46703.
The boys names are Alexx Bauer, Matt Roe, Evan Weaver and Riley Zimmer. Riley Zimmer's mom was a Tri State graduate. His grandfather, Don Zimmer, was a history professor at the school.

Fireworks ignite blaze at Tri-State frat house

Fireworks set off in a basement utility room ignited a fire in a fraternity house in Angola early Sunday.
The Angola Fire Department was called to Sigma Phi Delta fraternity, 401 S. College St., on the campus of Tri-State University at 6:18 a.m. and found light smoke coming from the house.
There were no injuries.
TSU to change name in '09
In a press conference this afternoon, Tri-State University President Earl Brooks announced that on June 1, 2009, Tri-State University will continue operations under the name Trine University. Brooks indicated many factors went into this decision, namely the Trine being the name of the University's biggest benefactors, Drs. Ralph and Sheri Trine, the common usage of Tri-State to name areas across the United States and the many institutions that go by TSU.
